Once you have decided what kind of player you or your child is, either print off and complete one of our on-line forms, or request an item from our stock list. Once we have the form, we will process the payment and contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day and address. We set up an automated schedule for the monthly payments so you don’t have to do anything else. All you have to do is unpack and start enjoying your instrument!
It’s not as exciting as playing the sax, but by law we are required to ask our customers for permission to perform a credit search before we send out an instrument. If you do not want us to perform a credit check, we would need to increase the deposit amount (re-fundable) to cover us. We will contact you with options if you request us not to check. Once all that’s over with we can get back to our music!

The first payment includes deposit, which is refundable (depending on condition), the first month’s rental, and the carriage and packing charge.
For our most competitively priced hire sax, the ex-rental or ex-demo Trevor James Esprit, the cost would be:
Our hire packages are designed to give you flexibility and choice of instruments. We want you to find the sax that suits your requirements so offer a mid-term upgrade option if you want to try another instrument during the hire period. Just let us know how you are getting on and what you would like to try to arrange it.
We have over 100 saxophones available for hire starting from ex-demo Esprit altos for £10 per month, an ex demo Yamaha YAS-280 for £19 per month and a new one for £24pm. These are perfect for beginners or players with entry-level experience.
The minimum period of hire is just 3 months; you may then either return the instrument or continue to hire it on a monthly basis. If you purchase the instrument, the deposit and the first 12 rental payments would count towards the price.
After 11 months of hire, we will send out a statement outlining what you have paid, and the balance remaining should you wish to purchase the instrument. We also offer several installment options to help you spread the cost over 3 to 12 months, detailed in the statement.
There is no obligation to buy the instrument and you can send it back to us at any time during the rental period for a deposit re-fund (subject to condition).
At the end of the 12 month hire term you have the option to upgrade to another instrument and use the rental you have already paid against any instrument of the same or higher price – maybe you want to swap from clarinet to sax, for example. Again, just drop us a line to discuss your requirements.
Our instruments are all checked and play tested - and cleaned if applicable - before despatch, so you can be sure your instrument will function exactly as it should.
For instruments other than saxes, i.e brass, or a clarinet for example, accessories differ slightly but these are all detailed on each individual hire form which you can see before you fill it in.
We also offer the following accessories for hire for £1pm each. To order, just circle the accessory on the hire form and we will include it with your hire pack.
We also offer a free one hour lesson for clarinets and saxophones if you can travel to collect the instrument.
If you cannot travel to collect the instrument we can arrange home delivery via DPD couriers for £9, and we include a gift voucher for the lesson that you can use at any time during the 12 month hire term.
Please feel free to call us if you wish to discuss the options further or to arrange a free lesson. If you are ready to proceed and require home delivery, please print, complete sign and return one of the attached rental agreements on this site, or if you like the look of one of the pro models, just drop us a line for information.
